Who We Are
SeniorTech Academy was founded in 2018 by a group of educators and technology professionals who noticed a profound gap in the market: millions of older adults were being left behind in an increasingly digital world. Banks went online. Hospitals moved to digital records. Friends stayed in touch via text and video calls. Yet nobody was teaching older people how to navigate this new landscape with confidence and patience.
We set out to fix that by creating a school designed from the ground up for seniors. Not a generic online platform with speed controls. Not a tutorial made for teenagers. A genuine school with real instructors, small classes, printed materials, and a philosophy that learning should be patient, practical, and always welcoming.
Today we have helped more than 1,200 graduates gain the confidence and skills to use technology in their everyday lives. We have seen students video-call grandchildren for the first time, book their own medical appointments, discover online hobbies, and fundamentally regain their independence. We are proud of every single one of them, and we are just getting started.
Patience & Compassion
Every student learns at their own pace. We believe there is no such thing as a silly question. We celebrate small victories because every step forward matters.
Practical Relevance
We teach skills you will use today — not abstract theory for its own sake. Every lesson has a real-world application that solves an actual problem in daily life.
Community & Belonging
Learning alongside others builds confidence and lasting friendships. Our classrooms are warm, welcoming spaces where everyone belongs and everyone is valued.
Our instructors are genuine specialists in adult and senior education. Each one undergoes rigorous training in accessibility, communication, digital literacy, and the psychology of how older adults learn — before they ever step into a classroom. We do not hire IT professionals and ask them to teach seniors. We hire people passionate about senior education and equip them with both technical knowledge and teaching excellence.
They are guided by a shared belief: that everyone deserves access to the digital world, regardless of age, background, or prior experience. Every one of our team members has heard a student say "I never thought I could do this" — and has had the joy of watching them prove themselves wrong.
We regularly update our curriculum to reflect the latest technology trends and the real questions our students bring to class. If a student asks "How do I video call on WhatsApp?" we make sure every other student learns it. If we notice confusion about privacy settings, we revise that lesson.
If you have ever wondered whether you are too old to learn — you are not. Our team is here to prove it, one student at a time.
