By accessing or using the SeniorTech Academy website and services, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree with any part of these terms, please do not use our services. We reserve the right to modify these terms at any time. Continued use of our website and services following any changes constitutes your acceptance of the new terms.

2. Use of Services

You agree to use our website and services only for lawful purposes and in a way that does not infringe upon the rights of others or restrict their use and enjoyment. Prohibited behaviour includes:

  • Harassing or causing distress or inconvenience to any person
  • Transmitting offensive language or content that is obscene or indecent
  • Disrupting the normal flow of dialogue within our community spaces
  • Attempting to gain unauthorised access to our systems or data
  • Recording or transmitting course content without permission

3. Course Enrolment Requirements

To enrol in our courses, you must be 55 years of age or older (or have parental consent if under 18). You represent and warrant that all information provided during enrolment is accurate and complete. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of any login credentials and for all activities that occur under your account. We reserve the right to refuse enrolment or cancel participation if we believe you have violated these terms.

4. Payment Terms

Course fees must be paid in full or according to an agreed payment plan before or at the start of your course. We accept payment by credit card, debit card, and bank transfer. All prices are displayed in the currency specified on our website. Additional charges, such as tax, may apply depending on your location. We use secure payment processors to protect your financial information. Invoices and receipts will be provided upon request.

5. Cancellation and Refund Policy

If you cancel your course enrolment more than 14 days before the course start date, you are entitled to a full refund. Cancellations made 14 days or fewer before the start date will receive a 50% refund. Cancellations made after the course has begun are not eligible for refund, but you may transfer your place to another scheduled session. To request a cancellation or refund, please contact us in writing. Refunds will be processed within 10 business days of cancellation request approval.

6. Course Attendance and Completion

Attendance at scheduled class times is expected and important for your learning progress. We understand that circumstances arise; if you need to miss a class, please notify us in advance. We offer one catch-up session per missed class at no additional cost. Students who complete 80% of course sessions and successfully complete final assessments are eligible for a Certificate of Completion. Certificates are non-transferable and remain the property of SeniorTech Academy.

7. Intellectual Property Rights

All course materials, including handouts, videos, presentations, and written content, are the intellectual property of SeniorTech Academy or our licensors. You are granted a limited, non-exclusive license to use these materials for your personal learning only. Reproduction, distribution, or public display of course materials without written permission is prohibited. You retain ownership of any assignments or projects you create, but grant SeniorTech Academy the right to use anonymised examples for educational purposes.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, SeniorTech Academy shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of our website or services, including loss of data, profits, or business opportunities. Our total liability for any claim shall not exceed the amount you paid for the course in question. This limitation applies even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages.

Our website and services are provided on an "as is" basis without warranties of any kind. We make no representation or warranty that our services will be error-free or uninterrupted. We do not warrant that the results obtained from our courses will meet your expectations or solve specific problems. While we strive for accuracy, we make no guarantee regarding the completeness or timeliness of information provided.

10. Dispute Resolution

These Terms of Service and your relationship with SeniorTech Academy shall be governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which we operate. Any dispute arising from these terms or your use of our services shall be resolved through good faith negotiation. If negotiation fails, disputes may be escalated to mediation or arbitration before pursuing legal action. You agree to pursue any claim within one year of the cause of action arising.
